THE METLO (Simetric Locality) is located in Yogyakarta which is famous for the thickness of its cultural atmosphere. With the function as a temporary place to stay for guest from various region, place to conduct business meeting, seminar, and other activities.

Existing building that has reached the stage of structural construction, make the scope of the design refers to these conditions. With the contextual values that are raised, local contemporary concept will be applied through the building element that will wrap the existing buildings, it is expected that the locality atmosphere can be formed without ignoring the suitability of the design along with the times

Sub concept which is taken from Karani Hotel planning refer to 3 points which are Local Element, Craftmanship, and Warm Ambience. Local Element is the giving of traditional elements and local materials in the building to create the atmosphere of regional buildings. Craftmanship, processing details in a building by referring the culture or traditional values. Utilization of the craftsmanship skills of the surrounding community to create a thick nuance of Yogyakarta. Warm Ambience, the intention to create a warm atmosphere in  a building by managing the combination of material, color, plant and lighting, by referring to the ambience of joglo houses
