BBDO is a company engaged in the field of global-scale advertising agency based in New York. When the brief tendering project was started, the client really wanted an office that had a very different and dynamic nuance, and could provoke creative ideas from its employees. So it made a very unique design, eyecatching and philosophical creative-flowing called RETIVE (Creative-Wave) which is applied to almost all elements in the interior design of this BBDO Indonesia Office. Starting from the work desk, floor, furniture, lamp, door, wall elements, and lighting concept where each area and room has a unique lighting concept and different from the warm white tone. In the lobby area there are large wave lamp made of corrugated iron arranged, giving the impression that flows when anyone enters this office, in addition to these lights, anyone who comes will also be welcomed by a recepsionist desk with an Indonesian nuance with stamped batik elements which are processed into table skins, this to emphasize that BBDO also has a local Indonesian character even though it is centered in New York. After passing through the recepsionist there is a Communal room composed of puff chairs with a shape like a ladder which can be arranged according to its user. This area can be a relaxed discussion area which is always changing according to its user. Behind this area, there is the main boardroom which is hidden behind a 3-colors wooden decorative element which makes the boardroom like does not exist.
On the other side of the work area, every leaders room used the concept of boxes applied by parquet wood and clear glass, it looks like there is space inside so the leaders still have privacy but can monitor their workers from their respective rooms. Each room in the BBDO Office Area has a different lighting concept, in the Boardroom the lights uses a continuous concept that is incorporated between the wall and ceiling lighting elements, in small meeting rooms used boxes element of different sizes that are arranged randomly. For the work area used lamp shaped like a Maze composed of ordinary TL lamp, the Creative Director area used raw bulb lamp arranged with different heights that philosophize ideas from the creative director. Also, in some spots, there are also small meeting table with the concept of lesehan like Japanese culture, so each employees can discuss without meeting room, in every corner of the room there is also walls that can be crossed out to stimulate creative ideas made from black glass and blackboard. Overall this office used the concept of Industrial Contemporary, where all of its materials are mostly unfinished such as polished unfinished concrete floors and opening ceilings with all its utility elements.
