Firama

FIRAMA (Infinity Panorama) is a design concept applied to the BSI Bakauheni Mosque. Located in Bakauheni, Lampung, the BSI Bakauheni Mosque is part of the Bakauheni Harbour City Area. It covers an area of up to 3800 m2, with a building area of 2900 m2. The mosque consists of three floors: the first floor serves as a function hall, the second floor is the main prayer area, and the third floor is the prayer area for women.

The overall concept of the Firama building is an adaptation of the traditional Lampung dance called "Siger Pengunten." This dance is a welcoming gesture for guests from outside Lampung. In the dance, the dancers carry a golden box called "Tepak Siri," which is held using golden elongated accessories called "Tenggai." The Firama design represents this tradition, with the main part of the mosque symbolizing the "Tepak Siri" to welcome guests, and the pillars representing the "Tenggai."

ENTRANCE GATE
The entrance of the BSI Bakauheni Mosque adopts patterns from Middle Eastern architecture, using repetitive modules. The materials used are easy to maintain, with Coral Brush Stone for the floor and Aluminum Composite panels for the repetitive elements. The entrance gate is also surrounded by green areas.

OPEN CONCEPT
Firama provides an open concept for the BSI Bakauheni Mosque without walls. This design not only allows for a pleasant view from the outside but also addresses lighting and ventilation concerns. Being located on the coast, the mosque maintains a cool and well-lit atmosphere, despite the heat outside.

OBSERVATION DECK 360
This is the focal point of Firama, in the form of a 360-degree circular bridge surrounding the entire building. It offers an unrestricted view of the surrounding area of the BSI Bakauheni Mosque. The Observation Deck 360 is inspired by the Tawaf ritual performed during Umrah and Hajj pilgrimages.
