CIRCURA is a building located in the City of Bali. This building functions as a rented resort and also a restaurant that is open to the public, the main focus of this building is to maximize the greening of the land as the main strength of its design by using minimum land as possible for the building. |
The concept of design itself is taken from the philosophy of the balinese gate which is a symbol that represents a welcome, because the function of this building is a resort for tourists who will be vacationing in Bali. BY using a thick local material, we hope that the users of this building can also experience the spatial conditions that are condensed and thick of the Balinese culture itself. Local materials such as local bricks and alang alang roofs are very easy to find around the location, this also supports the main design as a green building that reduces emissions by only using materials contained in the vicinity of the building or in the sense of not requiring remote transportation that uses a lot of fossil energy. |
We also maximize the existing view by orienting the view towards the sea for all the resort units and restaurant so that this building has a unique massing resembling the shape of a semicircular arch. Natural lighting and air also are maximized with large openings and minimum bulkhead so the building looks more wide. |
Because the location is not on the seashore and can not open the view to the surroundings, on the first floor the main view is focused inside or becomes an inner view which is designed maximally from the landscape, while the swimming pool is placed on the second floor which has vew directly to the beach and surrounding site which is very green so users can enjoy it maximally. |
