AXION site is on Jl. Letjend Suprapto, Kepatihan, Tulungagung, East Java, with an area of ± 1500 m². On that land, a mosque will be built which will become the center of Muslim worship around it.
With this function, we need a building that can represent Islam, the environment and the function of the building itself, so that people can feel more comfortable in worship. Trying to realize a solution to answer the community's needs for the mosque as a place of worship and ideal social place, presented through the concept of Integrating Context. Integrating Context is a concept to strengthen design based on contextual data (environment, religion, culture, etc.) until it blends into a more contemporary value.
Sub contexts explored in planning are divided into 3 things, whis is Religion, Region, and Function. Religion, giving values and Islamic philosophy to the building as the Identity of the Mosque which is a Muslim worship building. In addition, the shapes that are often used as a feature of the mosque, which is the curve try to be implemented in building in different ways. Region, the concept of regionalism is tried to be implemented in building by giving the ornaments that reflect the value of tulungagung region. In addition, the use of local materials is also carried out to add value. Function, as a public building, a mosque needs to accommodate all the needs of its users, ranging from the activity need to the atmosphere need. Through the concept of space and light we try to provide answers to the problems of function.
